Welcome to the Mohawks Baseball Page. Mohawks Baseball encompasses 2 identities which include the Baseball Institute and the Mohawks SAHSBL Team.

Coaching Staff:

Coach Foran

A native of Delta, British Columbia, Coach Foran moved to Medicine Hat in the Fall of 2011. Beginning his tenure with MHHS in the Spring of 2012, Coach Foran began to revamp the former Mohawks Baseball Team. After completing Secondary School, Coach Foran continued playing baseball at Western Nebraska Community College, Tusculum College and finally Norfolk State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2010 from Norfolk State University while acting as an Assistant Coach for NSU. Coach Foran has also coached for Okanagan College, the Kelowna Falcons, Team British Columbia and the Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs. His goal is to now provide students at Medicine Hat High School with the same opportunities that he had while in high school and to allow students to reach their full potential in baseball and in life.

MHHS Baseball Institute:

The objective of the Medicine Hat High School Baseball Institute is to engage students in education through the use of sport and exercise science. Students will have the opportunity to develop as athletes through on-field activities, physical training, mental training and module courses as key components.

While the class is open to all students at Medicine Hat High School, priority is given to those with baseball background. The class will be open to both males and females to provide equal opportunity to all students. The entire Class will be held at Medicine Hat High School. Outdoor training will take place during September, October, April, May and June. During November, December, January, February and March students will take part in weight training and conditioning exercises while also utilizing our state of the art gymnasium and indoor batting cage.

MHHS Baseball Team: 

The Mohawks Baseball Team consists of a Senior and JV squad. The Senior Mohawks currently play in the Southern Alberta High School Baseball League. In the past 3 years, the Mohawks have finished in the top 3 each year as well as being league champions in 2016. The JV Team plays exhibitions against teams across Alberta with multiple inter-squad games.
